The Temporal Forces continue to introduce Ancient and Future Pokémon and Trainer cards into the Pokémon Trading Card Game. The central Pokémon in these sets are the trios of Paradox Pokémon resembling the Legendary beasts and the Swords of Justice: Walking Wake, Gouging Fire, Raging Bolt, Iron Leaves, Iron Boulder, and Iron Crown.

These sets also reintroduced ACE SPEC cards. First introduced in the Black & White Series of the TCG, ACE SPEC cards are powerful cards with the restriction that only one ACE SPEC card of any sort can be included in a deck. ACE SPEC cards as of this set have a unique magenta design, and can come in Trainer and Special Energy cards.
