Mask of change focuses on various Pokémon, characters, and settings from the land of Kitakami, which debuted in The Teal Mask, the first part of The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero DLC for the Pokémon Scarlet and Violet video games. The primary focus of these sets is Ogerpon, which appears in all of its special Terastallized forms. These sets also continue to introduce ACE SPEC cards into the format, including one ACE SPEC Special Energy card.

Mask of change contains six ACE SPEC Trainer and Special Energy cards, seven Pokémon ex, seven Tera Pokémon ex, 21 illustration rare Pokémon, 12 ultra rare full-art etched Pokémon ex and Supporter cards, 11 special illustration rare Pokémon and Supporter cards, and six hyper rare gold etched cards.
