Crimson Haze introduced Pokémon from The Teal Mask, the first of two downloadable content additions to the Pokémon Scarlet and Violet video games. Many of the cards in this subset feature Pokémon and characters that can be found in the land of Kitakami. This set also continues to introduce ACE SPEC cards to the format. Each booster pack of Crimson Haze contains five cards.

Crimson Haze is designed for use in Sealed format tournaments, in which participants are provided with sealed TCG products and have to build and battle their decks using only cards pulled from those products, along with any other cards provided by the tournament staff. To this end, certain cards such as Switch and Pokémon Catcher see reprints in this subset.

Crimson Haze was released in Japanese on March 22, 2024, followed by localized releases in Traditional Chinese on April 3, 2024, in Thai on April 26, 2024, and in Korean on May 24, 2024.
